2025 BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The São Jorge Genealogical Society was formally incorporated as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization on February 13th, 2020. On March 2nd, 2020, the first board of directors was appointed by J. Berry-Cahn, acting incorporator. Since that time, all officers have been elected annually for one-year terms under the society’s bylaws.
The “São Jorge Project”; prinicpally tasked with indexing marriages and website development, existed from 2017-2020, and was absorbed by the society upon it’s incorporation.
